My name is Sydney Helgeson and I am a 19 year old from Bismarck, ND. This fall I will start my sophomore year at the University of Alabama where I am majoring in Business Management. On this site, you will learn more about how I promoted my platform, Texting & Driving: It Can Wait, as a teenager and titleholder in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization. I partnered with many organizations including AT&T and the North Dakota Department of Transportation, used social media, and spoke at many appearances and events to educate my peers about the dangers of texting and driving.
